PREDICTORS OF CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE DEVELOPMENT IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE LIVING IN THE NORTH
Abstract
The study objective is estimating chronic kidney disease development forecasts in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients living in the Northern regions. The study has included 145 COPD patients. The chronic kidney disease predictors in COPD patients are senior age, smoking, overweight and obesity, severe bronchial obstruction, pulmonary hypertension, left ventricular hypertrophy. A negative correlation between glomerular filtration rate (CKD-EPI), albumin level (r = -0.268, p < 0.05) and alpha-1 globulin (r = -0.334, p < 0.05) points to their effect on glomerular filtration decrease. These indicators can be used as chronic kidney disease markers.
